OSG is the world’s largest manufacturer of rotary cutting tools. Founded in 1938 in Tokyo, Japan, OSG has a long-standing reputation as a total solution cutting tool provider throughout the manufacturing industry. All the know-how for providing PVD coating services was developed by OSG Corporation, which has more than 20 years of experience in the segment.
At our headquarters, we coat more than 2.5 million cutting tools every month, in addition to having more than 30 PVD furnaces dedicated to production and service provision. We also have exclusive ovens dedicated to the research and development of new coatings.
Worldwide, we have more than 80 kilns installed. In Brazil, Primus Coating is installed in the city of Bragança Paulista, where we apply all the technology, quality and precision dedicated to the manufacture of our tools, in order to offer a service with an OSG standard of excellence.
Our Coatings
The PRIMUS COATING coatings were specially developed to meet the different needs of the industry, reducing friction, increasing surface hardness, resistance and tool life, in different applications and working conditions.
We work with tight tolerances and strict quality control, ensuring superior performance and cost reduction in the applied processes. Our coatings are divided into two lines: Performance and High Performance, each with specific characteristics, processes and most recommended applications.
