Edged interpolating cutter for high hardness steels
The AT-2 interpolating cutter with cutting geometry for high hardness steels is ideal for highly difficult applications in high hardness steels. The risk of sudden tool breakages caused by insufficient chip evacuation has been eliminated, allowing operators to work with greater ease. By combining drilling and tapping into a single procedure, process efficiency is increased and tooling costs are reduced.
Characteristics
• Helical Drilling + Threading done simultaneously. No pilot hole required! Stable machining with no chip issues.
• The new DUROREY coating allows for greater heat resistance and high toughness for milling high hardness steels!
1 The special shape of the cutting edge suppresses tool bending.
2 Left-hand cutting geometry enables down milling for extended tool life.
3 Grinding teeth are added to distribute the load..
• Use RPRG to reduce workload RPRG is the tool radius offset reference value. Conventionally, the tool radius value is entered during setup as a parameter of the NC system, which is corrected by checking the thread with a feeler gauge. Now the correction process can be simplified by simply entering the RPRG value as indicated on the tool shank. NC Code Generator Software
